Plant tissue testing occurs throughout the growing season and is used as a complimentary tool to soil testing. It is useful for monitoring crop nutrient status, predicting or verifying nutrient issues during the growing season. It allows for better understanding of the interactions between soil and plant nutrient uptake and assists to plan an in-season fertiliser program.

It will build on the soil testing program that identifies how much nutrient is likely to be available and the plant tissue testing will confirm how much nutrient was actually taken up by the plant. We can conduct basic in field assessments with portable meters and also can sample and send off plant tissue for testing that fits in with soil and crop management programs.

As well as tissue testing for comparison with soil data and management techniques, for livestock producers we can assess water quality and faecal tests alongside soil and pasture/feed data to further assess nutritional limitations and the full nutrient cycle.
